Executive Board Officers 2008-2009
- Co-President - Edwin Salazar
Co-President
Responsibility: As one of the presidents, I am in charge of making sure all of SHPEs operations run as smoothly as possible. We plan and help implement many of the activities and events that take place during the year. The planning process involves coming up with a calendar for the academic year and taking into consideration many outside factors that may affect the success of the events. With the help of our executive board, we help actually bring these original plans to life and try to make it as successful as possible. Whether it be something simple as sending reminder emails or something more complicated such as creating a proposal for a certain purpose. However, of course, we can not do this alone and that is why we have our great executive board. We delegate tasks appropriately to help make the implementation process as efficient as possible. Also, we are responsible for maintaining harmony among the executive board and keeping everyone working towards the same goals. Basically, we are responsible for SHPEs actions and it is our responsibility to provide our members with the professional development, networking opportunities, and corporate exposure that we promised when they first joined SHPE.
